Meet at the reserve car park which is down the narrow track which leads to the church. Postcode GU28 9LD should get you there.
We'll aim to head off from the car park at 10.30 but you might want to arrive about 10.15 to give you a chance to look round the pretty churchyard by the car park before we set off. Depending on how much stopping we do for photographs we’ll probably walk 2-3 miles, its fairly flat. It's easy to get lost in the reserve but to give ourselves the best chance of avoiding this I propose to take the main path from the car park which skirts round the edge of the reserve, shown in green on the reserve map: https://dnu7gk7p9afoo.cloudfront.net/ebernoewebmap1.pdf. Then if at any stage you want to call it a day you should be able to retrace your footsteps back to the carpark.
There are no facilities (loos or refreshments) so you might want to bring a drink and a snack or lunch, and it is likely to be muddy, so I’d suggest boots and waterproofs and if you are going to try and photograph fungi something to kneel on.
As well as the nature reserve there is a bit of industrial archaeological interest with a brickworks, ponds, an iron furnace site, clay pits and a small quarry.
